ये 23 मार्च 1965 की बात है जब रेडियो पाकिस्तान ने जश्न-इ-बहारा के नाम से एक म्यूजिकल फेस्टीवल मुलाइत किया, तब बहुत से फनकारों के साथ-साथ एक नौजवान "नुसरत" भी था।
It was on 23 March 1965 that Radio
Pakistan organized a Musical Festival namely Jashan-e-Bahara and during
that along with many artists there was a young person "Nusrat" also.
जिस की आवाज़ और सुरो की गले से वापिस स्थिथि देखते हुए लोग हैरान! रह गए और यु उनके फन-इ-सफर का आगाज़ हुआ।
People were awestruck to see the wonders
created by the modulations of his voice and throat and from this started his
artistic career.
And gradually Nusrat Fateh Ali
Khan Sahib was getting merged and absorbed into the poetry.
और फिर,
फिर आया 1979, 1979 जाने के वो बरस जब अचानक ही "नुसरत फ़तेह अली खान" की आवाज़ ने सारी ही दुनिया की मौसिक़ी में हलचल पैदा कर दी।
Then,
a time came when in 1979 all of a sudden,
the voice of "Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan" created wonders in the world of
poetry through his singing.
"Dam Mast Kalandar"....
ये आवाज़ एक जादूगरी के नाम से मशहूर हुई,
लोग पूजने लगे, चाहने लगे, पर्दर्शित करने लगे खुदा की तरह।
This voice became famous by the name of
Magic,
People started liking him , worshiping him
and see him like God.
पाकिस्तान के साथ-साथ दुनिया के दूसरे मुबालिक भी France, England, Japan, America,
India में तो "नुसरत फ़तेह अली खान" के कर्ज़दार मुन्ज्दर थे ही ये के कब हमारे दरमियाँ होंगे ये ।
People overseas Pakistan became his fans
France, England, Japan, America, India and longded to see him in their own
country. They became indedted to him.
और फिर एक-एक लमह बेचैनी, बे-करारी में गुजरने लगा,
दिल ढूढ़ने लगा,
आँखे तलाश करने लगी....।
Then each moment past in restlessness and
longing for him
heart went finding,
eyes went searching.

ये सोचने की बात है, के पाकिस्तान के शहर "फैसलाबाद" में पैदा होने वाले एक शक्श ने अपने फन और अपनी आवाज़ के जरिए पूरी दुनिया को अपना गरविदा कैसे कर लिया।
It is worth thinking that a person born in
"Faislabaad" enchanted the whole world with his talent and magical
voice.
ये मुसीक़ी की तालीम ईनो ने अपने वालिद "फ़तेह अली खान" और चचा "मुबारक अली खान" से हासिल की ।
He learnt this art of singing from his
father "Fateh Ali Khan" and his uncle (Chacha) "Mubarak Ali
Khan".
इन के वालिद और चचा अपने वक़्त के मकबूल क़व्वाल और मुसीक़ी के उस्तादों में जाने जाते थे।
His father and his uncle were famous
during their time for their Qawwals and Poetry singing. They used to be know as
Masters (Ustads).
यु "नुसरत फ़तेह अली खान" अपने चचा के साथ बसए क़व्वाल फन का प्रचार करने लगे।
Thus "Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan"
preached the talent of Qawwals of his uncle.
"नुसरत फ़तेह अली खान" कहते थे मुझे करूज और सोह्रत दरगाहो और मजह्रो की खाक छानने से नसीब हुई , और सिर्फ दरगाहो और मजह्रो में जो क़वालिया गाई जाती थी अब पूरी दुनियां उन क़वालिया की दीवानी है , उन नामो की दीवानी है जिन का नाम मैं सारी ज़िन्दगी पुकार-पुकार कर लेता रहा हूँ।
“Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan” would say that I
have the got the fortune and reputation by going on foot to "Dargahs"
(Shrines), and the Qawalis were sung only at the “Dargahs” and now the whole
world is fascinated by the singing of the Qawwalis and it is possessed of only
those names, which I have chanted throughout my whole life by way of my
supplication and prayer.
अब तो "नुसरत फ़तेह अली खान" का फन उन का नाम पाकिस्तान से ले कर हॉलीवुड तक शोरहत और मख्मूलित की दलील से जाना जाता है ।
Now, "Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan" is
known to the whole world from Pakistan to Hollywood with an honour.
क्या आप जानते है आप के "नुसरत" एक अमेरिकन यूनिवर्सिटी में म्यूजिक के ईजाति प्रोफेसर थे, और अक्सर वहा मुसीक़ी की तालीम दिया करते थे।
Do you know, "Nusrat" was an
honorary Professor at American University and often taught music there.
जापान, अमेरिका, इंडिया और इंग्लैंड में तलवाह "नुसरत फ़तेह अली खान" के फन और उन की शख्सियत पर डॉक्टरेट की डिग्री हासिल कर रहे है ।
Students are getting degree of Doctorate
by researching on his talent and his personality in Japan, America, India and
England.
क्या आप जानते है के "नुसरत फ़तेह अली खान" ने राग और रागनियां भी इज़ात की, और जापान में "नुसरत फ़तेह अली खान" की इज़ात की हुई रागनियां और रागों पर साइंटिस्ट तजरबगात कर रहे है।
Do you know "Nusrat Fateh Ali
Khan" invented new "Raagas" and "Raagini" and research
is done on his "Raagas" and "Raagini" in Japan.
हा! अभी आखरी बार ऐसा हुआ, के "खान साब" को जापान में एक हेलीकॉप्टर के जरिए "अलग सुलह बुलंद पहाड़" की चोटी पर पोहचाया गया।
Yes! "Khan Saab" was taken to
"Alag Sulab Buland Pahaad" with the help of Helicopter.
and he was requested to performed morning
Raag and during his singing the Scientists made scientific analysis of a
singing.
और देखते रहे के उन की आवाज़ और गले से निकलते रागो का माहौल पर क्या मुरकत होता है।
And also kept observing what the impact of
his "Raagas" and voice on the atmosphere.
लेकिन,
लेकिन "खान साब" की मौत के साथ ही ये सब बाते ख़ामो ख़याल लगने लगी,
but,
but after death of "Khan Saab"
all these things started appearing like illusion
खुशियां ग़मो की तारीख चांदर ओड के सो गई।
and the joys merged into
the veil of sorrows.

"नुसरत फ़तेह अली खान" एक सफीक इंसान, एक दर्दमंद रखने वाला वो फनकार, जिस की आवाज़ और फन पर हॉलीवुड, हिन्दुस्तान और पाकिस्तान की इंडस्ट्री ने करोड़ो रुपए की सरमाएदारी की हुई थी।
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Sahib was wise and
sympathetic artist who made the whole Industry of Pakistan, Hollywood and India
indebted to him through his talent and soulful voice. He earned crores of
rupees.
हमारा तो कहना है के शायद हिंदुस्तान की फिल्म इंडस्ट्री को "अमिताभ बचन" के ज़ख़्मी होने से "संजय दत्त" के गिरफ्तार तक इतना बड़ा माली नुक्सान न उठाना पड़ा हो, के जितना "नुसरत फ़तेह अली खान" की अचानक मौत पर ये सब कुछ बर्दास्त करना पड़ेगा।
It would be apt to say that India didn't
have to suffer as much as loss when “Amitabh Bachan” got wounded and Sanjay was
imprisoned as India as to suffer with the loss of untimely death of
"Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan".
हिंदुस्तानी फिल्म "बैंडिट क्वीन", "और प्यार हो गया" हॉलीवुड की फिल्म "डेड मन वाकिंग" में अपनी फनी मुसयत पेश करने के बाद वो मुसीक़ी की जरूरत बन गए थे।
He became indispensable with his musical
performance and singing after revealing his talent in Hindustani Film
"Bandit Queen", "Aur Pyar Ho Gaya" and Hollywood movie
"Dead Man Walking".
"ए.र. रहमान" और "जावेद अख्तर" के साथ मई अगस्त 1997 के कवाईल में एक एग्रीमेंट "खान साब" ने साइन किया, के वो "ए.र. रहमान" की मुसीक़ी में "जावेद अख्तर" के गीत गायेगे।
In 1997 Khan Saab signed a contract of singing Javed Akhtar’s
verse in collaboration with A.R. Rahman.
लेकिन, लेकिन अब वो गीत हमेशा के लिए तन्हा रह जायेगे।
But, but now those lyrics will remain alone.
आवाज़ साथ छोड़ गयी, नग्मे बिखर गए।
The voice left companionship and the lyrics broke up.

खान साब ने पाकिस्तान की "Pride of Performance" के साथ साथ दुनिया से दर्जनों अवार्ड्स हासिल किये, सिर्फ अपने फन के बुनियाद पर।
आवाज़ की दुनिया के दोस्तों, “नुसरत फतेह अली खान साब” की अचानक मौत पर, दुनिया की मशहूर गायिका “मैडोना” ने कहा, “मुझे हसरत रह गई, के मैं नुसरत फतेह अली खान के साथ अपना ऑडियो एल्बम रिकॉर्ड कर सकती”.
